The A’s have signed 30-year old lefty reliever Erick Threets to a minor league deal. He missed all of last season due to Tommy John Surgery, but he will be ready for spring training. Threets last pitched in the majors back in 2010 with the White Sox. He has pitched in 21 games (0 starts) in his first three years in the majors and he is 0-1 with a 3.28 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. This is a good buy low move for the A’s.
